Originally influenced by B.B. King and Louis Jordan, Little Al Thomas is a household name in Chicago's South Side Blues clubs. The elder Bluesman came of age in the Maxwell Street neighborhood, as the Windy City's music was being transformed from a Jazz flavored genre into the characteristic electric Chicago Blues, which so influenced popular music worldwide.
Now Little Al, who recorded his instant classic debut album "South Side Story" when he was already 69 years of age - is back with "Not My Warden", only the 3rd album in his lifetime. On "Not My Warden" he's recorded 13 trademark Blues ballads and forceful shuffles, backed by longtime acolyte ace guitarist/writer/producer John Edelmann and his Deep Down Fools.
